About five days ago I pushed an Acorn 6.1 alpha up to the latest builds page. This build includes all the new Metal changes, without any disastrous consequences (which I was afraid might happen).

This is good and makes me happy.

So if you'd like to try out the new Metal 2 changes in Acorn I've been blogging about, head on over to the latest builds page and grab a copy. There's even some handy links provided over there which will automatically update your direct version of Acorn to the development builds.

And let me know what happens! Is it faster or slower? Does it feel awesome or janky? Inquiring minds want to know, and you can tweet at me or shoot an email our way: support@flyingmeat.com.
