I finished my gift shopping yesterday, but since I technically have another day to go, I went ahead and got my mom some extra stuff- a gift certificate, and a CD from Streetside Records.

Funny thing happened when I got the CD- while I was checking out, I recognized the girl behind the counter from my Columbia days- she worked at the Streetside there and I mentioned it. (She's cute, so you have to remember someone like her). We talked for a little bit while she was doing the credit card stuff- and it had crossed my mind to ask her out. But me being the lady's man that I'm not, that's exactly what I didn't do. Oh well.

Tonight, I'm making a bit of chili with a recipe I found on the internet- hope it's good. I had actually just bought a cookbook, hoping that it had some decent chili recipes in there, after all, it's called 1000 Great Recipes. But of course it didn't.

I'll have to write how it turns out later on, because I know you're dying to find out.
