Holy Shit.
GarageGames is going to be <a href=http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=technology&page=home>selling their 3d engine to Tribes 2 for 100 bucks- that's awesome. Ok- it's a striped down version of the engine, but the same "Holy Shit" factor still applies.
It's going to let budding game programmers get access to real commercial code to learn and create real games with-
