(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Warning: Mini-rant below.

Ok, I'm going to write this, since George hasn't yet, and I'm in the mood too since I'm listening to it right now-

<A href=http://www.google.com/search?q=John%20Mayer>John Mayer makes me sick. I love the way he plays guitar- and some of his live acoustic stuff is just awesome (no woman no cry, wind cries mary). He has so much raw talent in his fingers, the way pulls the notes and rythm and melody out of no where and creates this awesome music with just a single guitar... I wish I could do that.

But then he ends up writing little pop-pussy songs, and I can't figure out why. It's disgusting. It makes me mad. It's like he's catering to 15 year old girls that he wants to have a crush on him or something. I can't stand it.

What a fucking waste of talent.

Or maybe I'm just not his audience. Or maybe I should lighten up and just listen to "Puelblo Nuevo" by The Buena Vista Social Club again. (What a cool song- and Ry Cooder is on that album too!).

But anyway.
