(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Just got back from a climbing trip that turned into a camping trip because of rainy weather.

Kirstin and I drove down to Jackson Falls on Saturday evening and hung out with a bunch of the folks from the local climbing gym. They had been drinking a while, and we had a bit of catching up to do by the time we got there. It was pretty amusing to watch everyone flail about and talk nonsense and jump on the fire and wrap each other up in their crash pads and throw themselves about. But I guess I must have been pretty amusing to watch the night before when Mike decided that everyone needed to start doing shots of Jagermeister.

The next day (today) it was still raining so me and Kirstin just walked about and since she had never been there before I showed her all the cool climbs that we wouldn't be doing because of the rain. Oh well. It was still lots of fun. And she got to have Steak and Shake for the first time too. They don't have those up in Seattle apparently.

They don't have Jacks pizza either. What a bummer. :)
