(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Jeeze I was tired this morning- stayed up late and got up early. Oh well, still made it to work mostly on time.

I managed to get a bit done today- and I think it's mostly because I ignored my email until I was ready to check it. I reset my prefs so that it checks every 10 minutes, instead of telling me when it gets new mail right away. I find that stopping what I'm doing, just to check my email is a big waste of time- I completely lose track of what I'm working on, and most of the time the email isn't worth reading right away. I figure if there's an emergancy, someone will let me know.

So after work, I walked down by the arch to go see the Mississippi river, that's flooding a little bit more than usual right now. I think it's about 35' over what it should be... You can go see the pictures over on photos.gusmueller.com along with some other stuff that I took as I was walking through.

Ok, hopefully tonight I'll be going out with Mike and Silent Tim, as long as they are around this weekend. Otherwise... um... I guess I'll be doing nothing. And one more note- if you ever have a choice of going back real quick and getting your swimming trunks and not getting them- just go ahead get them.
