(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Mosquitos. Millions and millions of mosquitos. But it was still kind of fun hiking about even though I'm sure I lost a pint of blood in the process. Me and Andy had a bit of fun, and managed to stay clear of any technical topics. hahaha- yea, right. We talked about tech stuff the whole time.

So.. besides taking a hike today, I did a little bit of programming. I thought it might be a good idea to make a little Quartz 2D wrapper for REALbasic, and all seemed to be going fine until I tried linking the sucker. What do you mean you can't just link to mach-o libraries from a pef executable?

Bah. So I looked up what kind of voodoo I would have to manage to make it all work- and it isn't pretty. I figured I would have to sacrafice a goat, and maybe a chicken... but it turns out that I have to give my first born. Screw that.

So I gave up on that idea for now, and I'm thinking of how I can make a mini-illustrator application... er.. or maybe I'll finish up GMJa .. or um.. really start on that game any day now.
