(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Today I got to wrap my mind around the monstrosity that is ATSUI. I'm trying to wite text to a Core Graphics Context, and I'm not getting too far with it. Up until today, I had mostly been looking at the documentation for it, and saying to myself... what? huh? what is all this stuff? So I finally sent out an email to one of the Mac OS X mailing lists, and got a reply from Tim Wood of Omni Group fame, with a link to a project that gets me started in the right direction.

Now I'm getting text showing up in my contexts, but I'm not really understanding what's going on :) It's a start though.
