(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

So I've become a real believer in Cocoa tonight.

I've been working on a query tool to connect to mysql through jdbc, and just for th hell of it, I added another window to the app that will show the columns, and the data (img here). I was chatting away with Paul in the background, and the next thing I knew- it was implemented. It took hardly any time at all.

And then I thought how long it took to do this in java when I wrote the same type of app a couple of years back... and last summer I wrote one in REALbasic. Neither one of the solutions worked as fast, and came together as quickly as it did in Cocoa.

Man this technology rules.
