(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

So this afternoon I called up valuenet to find out why exactly my dsl wasn't working already, and they put me on hold for a couple of minutes, and then tell me that I live too far away to get it.

%$#@$#@^$(#!!!!!!

Why I'm finding this out 2 weeks after I place the order, is beyond me. What's wrong with telling me that when I make the order?

($#**#@!$(#($%(!!!!

So now I'm going to have to go with a cable modem. The 1.5Mb sounds good, but it's capped at 128kb upload- which absolutely blows. That, and I'm betting that I don't get a static ip. Cripes. I guess I'll find out more tomorrow when they get back to me.

(*$#%@)!!!

I just don't like cable modems. Oh- and to top that off I found out today that once again I didn't win the friggen powerball. Not a good day. Oh, and I ate a whole bag of Andy Capp's Hot Fries- mmmmmmmm. But then I got sick. I still feel sick and it's 7 hours later. bah. Stay away from them if you know what's good for you.
