(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Right now, there's a big group of people getting together in an O'Reilly sponsored event called Foo Camp. These are a bunch of the more well known shakers and movers of what you'll be using on the internet 2 years from now. The idea is to make a really informal gathering and to ".. all get to know each other better, and hopefully come up with some cool ideas about how to change the world."

Take a look at this screen shot. And read this quote from Tim Bray: "What’s weird is, this is the first time in my life where I’ve been to a substantial gathering and more or less everyone is using a Macintosh."

It seems as if the winds are finally changing a bit. And I think I'm standing in a good spot for it. fingers cross
