(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Well, that sucked.

I just used the iTunes music store for the first time. I bought a full album, and it downloaded ok- 11 tracks. I try to copy them over to my iPod and I get the SPOD (spinning pizza of death) in iTunes. So I try and force quit it... nope. Doesn't work... wait.. the finder is dead as well. Crap.

Reboot. (On osx?!!?)

Ok, launch iTunes and... hey- where the heck is song #11? It is no longer in the "Purchased Music" playlist. I have no idea where it went.

Oh, and now my iPod won't mount anymore. wtf?

Update: Ok, I found the missing track right next to all the other songs (Eric Blair suggested this), and it seems to play alright... Now I just need to get my iPod to mount again. Time to hit iPodlounge and do some searching.

Update 2: The iPod is now mounting again, but the songs I copied over are nowhere to be found. No big deal I guess. Hooray for iPodlounge.
