(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

woops.

You can find a bigger picture here. Basically, VoodooPad was going about importing xml files the wrong way... well- it wasn't optimized for importing big xml files anyway. Sucking up way too much memory, which ultimately caused it to crash. Which is kind of funny- because my day job pretty much revolves around parsing xml files that are over 100X the size of the one I was testing against VoodooPad here. I got it fixed anyway. Horray.

So it looks like I'm a bachelor again, at least for the next 10 weeks. I dropped Kirstin off at the airport this morning (way, way, way to early to talk about.) She's going home to Seattle for her Christmas break (2 weeks) and then she comes back for 1 day and heads down to Tennessee for 8 weeks to work in a clinic as part of her schooling. And she now has a 20 gig iPod to keep her company.

Since she had to be at the airport so early and I'm going to see RTOK tonight, I decided to take the day off for the benefit of our dogs. They would have been stuck inside for way too long, and who knows what they would have done in retaliation. But what happened at 8:00 am as I just got back into bed? Work called. Sigh.

Ok, back to fixing bugs.
