Has anyone out there seen a mail protocol that uses xml as it's data format? I'm wanting to write a little mail client for fun (yea, I'm sick that way) using xml as the wire format... but I don't want to reinvent the wheel... bueller?

Update: looks like xmtp might be the answer.
