(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

RING RING RING

I look down at my cel phone, and see it's Kirstin, who is in Springfield till Tuesday.

"Heya hottie, what's up?" "Um, I have a surprise for you..." "Oh yea? What's that?" "I found jimi." ... "Oh yea? Where did you find him?" "Petsmart. They just had him out there from the pound. He's 3 months old, and a Newfoundland" (Kirstin has always wanted a newfoundland) ... "Huh." "You're not mad, are you?" "No. That's fine" "He's really good, I put him in the car and he just sat there" (unlike Stevie, who goes everywhere)

... the conversation lasts a little bit longer, and then we both hang up.

I look down at my feet where my dog lays and say, "Well Stevie, looks like you're getting a little brother"

The original plan was to get another dog in late August, early September... but this will work out just as well. Stevie has got someone to bug all the time besides me now :)
