(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Looking at all the mac blogs across the net today, it looks like I might be the only one that hasn't said anything about BBEdit 8. Not to jump on the bandwagon or anything but...

I bought it. It's good. Is it 50$ good? I don't know, but I upgraded anyway, since I use that app all day long. I do like the way spell checking is handled, but wish that it did it in realtime like most cocoa apps do.

Ok, now where's IMAP support for Mailsmith? I think that's the only thing keeping me from trying it out.

I just re-ripped my Black Keys albums with the "Apple Lossless Encoder" in iTunes, and I can actually tell a difference. It's pretty nice, and I wonder if I need an Airport Express to round out the experience now...

Unfortunately, I don't currently have enough space to do all my albums this way... but I guess that's really just a matter of time with disks increasing in size, and prices going down. Hmm.. I could get a 200 GB disk for 89 bucks after rebate...
