(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Everyone's favorite indie mac company, Panic, has begun selling their t-shirts online. It's about time. I saw them wearing their "Software" shirts this summer at WWDC, and I instantly wanted one. So I got my chance to order one earlier this week, and I got it on Friday.

And it even came with a sticker with the Panic logo on it. Super-cool! Because I was thinking as I was making my order... what about stickers? I'm glad they thought about it already, it's very Apple-ish of them.

"www.panic.com, make with the clicky".

So what else is going on?

The annual St. Louis Mardi Gras parade was yesterday. It seems to get just a little bit bigger every year. Maybe some day we'll move up from being the 2nd largest celebration in the US to the 1st. Ok, New Orleans will probably always have us beat.

It all starts out at 9:00 am with a couple of yager shots + some sort of orange banana strawberry vodka mix at Mike's house, and then off to Soulard for the parade. It is here that we've got lots more beer, tons of Harleys leading the parade followed by Don King, and then the actual floats.

Don King???
???

Wait? Don King? So what exactly was Don King doing in the parade? Beats me. I guess he was in town for a boxing match, and it seemed like a good idea... only in America.

Anyway, it took three tries but I finally managed to hit him with some beads from about 20 feet away. Hey- I wasn't the only one chucking little plastic beady necklaces at him!

Then after that it's wandering around through the neighborhoods seeing what you can see, drinking some more, spending the afternoon at home nursing a hangover and a sunburn (in February?!), and eventually passing out while thinking "Dammit, I've got documentation to write...".

Ahh, Mardi Gras midwest style.

What did you do this weekend?
