(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

I've got a bunch of random stuff to report.

IronCoder 4 is coming up on Oct 27-29. Our judge this time is Mark Dalrymple. The winner this time gets an autographed copy of Advanced Mac OS X Programming, which is a pretty awesome book.

Wolf's C4 conference is coming up as well, and I'm going to be presenting on Lua and how to integrate it into your objc app. Since I know there are folks who are reading this and are also going to C4, got any requests? Is there anything in particular you'd like me to go over?

Cocoa Dev Central got a makeover, and I'm listed on the front page as a Cocoa + Mac blog. Crap. Um.... Cocoa, right. [@"never use nsstring's writeToFile:atomically" writeToFile:@"foo.txt" atomically:YES encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding error:&err];

Luis de la Ros had a kid! Wooo for him and his wife! The new guy's name is Cesar, which coincidentally is the name of my red strat.

And finally, while I'm going to be in Chicago for C4, my wife is going to be jello wrestling to raise money for her roller derby league. Yep, you read that right. Jello wrestling. There is even an Ebay auction, where the winner gets to wrestle two roller girls of their choice. Here's the flyer for those in the area that are interested.
