(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

I was thinking this morning about where I was going to eat dinner tonight.

Oh wait, this is a cocoa blog... um: defaults write com.apple.Xcode XCShowUndoPastSaveWarning NO

Right, so I was thinking about where I want to go for dinner tonight, and I thought back to how I was recently telling my mom that there were no decent BBQ places around here. Then all of a sudden, I remembered 1 1/4 restaurants that were.

There's a pretty good place named Smokin' Pete's BBQ down in Seattle, but gets half a point subtracted because they don't know how to cook beans and they are proud that serve wine... in a bbq restraunt. That's just not right. (However, I'm sure that Brent gives it a + 1/2 point because he lives like, 1 block away from it.) It's all relative.

And then there's the BBQ Shack in Snohomish which is pretty close to us. However, they get 1/4 point subtracted because they don't sell alcohol at all. But their beans are very tasty, and the hot sauce is pretty awesome.

So that is what we're doing tonight, on this glorious day. We're hitting the BBQ Shack even though Kirstin currently think we're going out for sushi. But too bad.

Because when you're a hot shot independent mac programmer like myself, you get to decide where you eat on your birthday. That, and I'm picking out a gallon of whole milk today. None of that skim crap!
