(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Lucas Eckels wrote a plugin to embed files in VoodooPad. Cool!
Since VoodooPad 2.5 doesn't support a direct way to store random binary objects the file is base64'd and saved in a new page as text. (Hello Usenet!). It's a cool little hack that gets the job done.
But now I get to spill the beans on a new VoodooPad 3.0 feature- the ability to embed files. But if you want it right now (as did Lucas) you've got his solution (and it will still work when 3.0 ships).
