(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Launched and Funded: All Dabblers welcome.

Looks like Dabble DB is open for business. I saw a demo of this last year and it really made an impression on me. I think they really have something there.

It's described as "... the best of group spreadsheets, custom databases, and intranet web applications into a new way to manage and share your information on the web." Check it out if you need something like that (and stop emailing around those excel documents!)

VoodooPad 3 final candidate 1 is ready for those folks who would like to grab it (as announced on the mailing list). What this means is that unless a show-stopper bug shows up, this is what's going to ship. (W00t!) I'll wait 7-10 days before doing that however, just to give time for anything to bubble up.

Since it's the final version, this release doesn't allow VP2 serial numbers. So if you'd like to purchase an upgrade you can do so with a special link to the online store which makes the VP3 products show up. Anyone who's purchased VP 2.5 on May 29th or later gets a free upgrade to VP3. Just plug your VP2 serial number in here and it'll generate some new codes for you.

The downloads for this release are right here: VoodooPadLite3fc1.dmg, VoodooPad3fc1.dmg, and VoodooPadPro3fc1.dmg

And don't forget to backup your vp brains/documents before trying this an any other release. And let me know if you run into any issues! (My email is gus@flyingmeat.com).
