January 1, 2007
(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)
I'm really excited about 2007. And not just because I'm one of those freaks who draws a hash through their 7's, although I must admit that is a major reason.

We've got 10.5/Leopard coming out this year! Wooohooo! Core Animation kicks ass- you draw once in drawRect: and forget about it. Magic just happens. It's fast, and it's going to enable me to try out some ideas that I've been itching to do for years. And TimeMachine rules as well. I can't wait for everyone to have this.

And I'm really excited about the upcoming version of FlySketch! I've been laboring away the past 5ish months on version 2.0, which has some major, major changes in it. Think bitmap editing, think layers, think ... 10.5 only as well. Makes finding beta testers kind of a pain though, but it'll be worth it.

And I've still got lots of great ideas for VoodooPad which will see updates this year as well. And who knows, maybe something else new. I've always wanted to write a game...

So who's going to be at MacWorld? I just bought my plane ticket the other day, so it looks like I'm going.
