(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

Lost Garden has a new post up entitled "Lessons about failure". It's got interesting quotes from Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo) about finding the fun in games early on. It's a good philosophy that I think can translate to developing applications as well.

A quote: "Embracing failure is a fundamental lesson of good design and one that is not taught nearly enough". I'd surely agree with that. I've certainly learned as much from failure than from success over the past couple of years, even if I don't always follow the lessons learned (cough documentation cough).

Anyway, I'm quoting from a post that's quoting from a post. Go read it.
