There's a nice developer interview with Paul Kim of Noodlesoft on Ars:
"Noodlesoft is pretty much the result of typing random company names into the domain search forms to see if they were taken. I entertained the name 'Specksoft' for a short while, as I envisioned a logo that consisted of a dot. I did discover that, according to Google, it means "bacon often" in German. While it's a sentiment I can definitely stand behind, it would be more as a way of life than as the name of a software company"
