(This post is from my old, old, super old site. My views have changed over the years, hopefully my writing has improved, and there is now more than a handful of folks reading my site. Enjoy.)

One of the cool things about living in the Seattle area is that there's a really kick ass derby team up here- Rat City Rollergirls. So kick ass that they just won the WFTDA western regional tournament, beating out some stiff competition. So congrats to them!

I like Roller Derby. Tough girls on skates trying to knock each other down and throwing punches every once in a while. And there's beer! What's not to like? You would probably like it too. And if you're in the Seattle area, Rat City is playing this weekend in Everett so you shouldn't miss out on this. You need to go to at least one derby match in your lifetime.

Plus, Kirstin is going to be participating in the half time "last woman standing" contest against Rat City on Jet City Rollergirls' team. Surely you don't want to miss that!

And if you can't make it this weekend because you're like... in another state or something, see if there's a league in your area.
