This is a handy little hidden pref for Safari/WebKit:

defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitDebugFullPageZoomPreferenceKey 1

After setting that up, when you choose "Make Text Bigger / Smaller", it'll not only scale the text in the page, but the images as well. This is useful when viewing pages with super big images that don't fit in the window you've got setup.
