While pasting an all uppercase URL into Safari's (5.2) address bar tonight, I discovered that it will perform a Google search for what you've entered instead of visiting the URL. For instance if you enter FLYINGMEAT.COM or MICROSOFT.COM, a search is initiated.
However if you enter APPLE.COM, Safari will visit http://apple.com/.
Huh
Well that's interesting.
I better tweet about this remarkable find.
